About me...
I was born in the beautiful city of Torreon, Coahuila-Mexico. At the age of 13, my family and I moved to Brownsville, TX-United States. We helped with our musical talents in a christian church at Brownsville. Music and Art are a great part of our family which has helped me as a person to transmit the joy and love of God to others.
In 1997 we moved to Lyford, TX. A year later, I graduated from Lyford High School with honors and several scholarships to study Art and become an Art Teacher. I have to say, I learned a lot from my teachers at Lyford High School, specially from my Art teacher who was constantly motivating me to continue my education after graduation. He believed in me and was always giving me his wise words of advise.
I attended The University of Texas Panamerican at Edinburg where I obtained my Bachelors in Art All-Level Education in 2006.

Self Accomplishments
Besides drawing, painting, technology and teaching, I also love singing. While going to college I had a project in mind; to record a christian music CD. My goal, to share about the gospel. God gave me that opportunity and I recorded it! It's titled: "Exclavo del Amor" It's christian music in Spanish, and most of the songs are composed by my father who I love and admire. I still perform at special church events. I love everything related to the Fine Arts and Technology. In my free time I paint portraits, take professional photos, design logos, edit videos, and design websites.
Career
I graduated back in 2006 with a Bachelor of Art - All level certification from The University Of Texas Pan-American. Right after graduation, I started teaching Art and Computer Animation at Myra Green Middle School in Raymondville, TX. Since the beginning of my teaching career, I have integrated technology in my lessons such as presentational tools and YouTube videos to enhance my lessons.
In 2011, I was selected to be part of the MSTTPA go Tech! program (Science and Technology Teacher Preparation Academy) at UT Brownsville. During this educational journey I have seen the impact technology is making in education. Immediately I started implementing more technology in my lessons. I created class websites and wikis to provide more class resources, maintain communication with parents and students, post lessons, assignments and homework. All of these helped me to provide a better learning experience in my classroom. It's great to see the great potential educators can put in the students' hands when they provide a world of possibilities. After completing the MSTTPA go Tech! program, I got certified as an MTT (Master Technology Teacher) and graduated in July 2013 with a Masters in Educational Technology.
In 2014 I started working at Raymondville ISD as the District Instructional Technology Facilitator.
